I'm sure you may have a junk box even if you give it another name. You may have one for those spare needles and other sewing equipments. For those who love DIY projects, a junk box may be a collection of odds and ends that looks useless but may come in handy in the future. In short, you may have something like this.
Sometimes though, it might get too cluttered that it does not even seem to be helping you at all during those times that you need what you have stored in there. There might even be cases when you are forced just to buy the thing that you need instead of looking for it around your junk box.
This does not have to be the case with yours. You know that you can organize it and that's what I want to help you out in this post. First off, take out everything that you have in there. After all, you have a better chance of organizing it if you start with a clean slate.
Now that you have emptied your junk box, look for those things that are totally worthless now. There might be things in there that you considered useful some time ago but that might not be the case now. Ok, now discard those things that you will no longer use, for example, rusty screws or something like that.
Then, arrange the things so that you will see every piece upon opening the box. This means that large things first then, smaller ones on top of that. It is also useful to group them depending on where they might be used later on.
It's as simple as that really. For ladies out there, this might be a good surprise or even a valentine's gift for him this season.
Decorating a home means that you have to make appealing not only to you but also to other occupants of your home. It is easy if you live by yourself as you only have to keep what you want in your home.
If you already have a partner, it would also be easier if you have the same taste in furniture and fixtures. But even if your tastes do not match, you can still design your home so that it will be a combination of styles. Although not easy to do, it is not impossible. But what if you already have children? That would surely affect the way you design your home.
We know that children do not know as much as grown ups when it comes to taking care of certain furniture. No matter how many times we have told them off for playing with those fragile china pieces, they would always go back to playing with them if given the chance. And that does not only include china of course.
So what to do? You certainly would not want your home to look like a daycare center right? Of course, you do not have to sacrifice elegance and class of your home just to make it safe for children. The solution for this problem is to find the balance.
Use decors that look elegant but will not be posing nay danger to small children. Also, carefully position decors so that they will be beyond the reach of toddlers. That way, you are making your home look elegant and at the same time protecting your decorative pieces and your precious children.
This post is about cleaning what you have in your home, from kitchen counters to floor tiles. I hope you find these tips useful. I would like to share these tips with you as I know for certain that these homemade cleaning products work.
First, if you have a problem with your drain being clogged by grease, all you have to do is to pour a cup of salt and a cup of baking soda down the drain and following it with huge amount of boiling water.
If your sofa gets stained, try using club soda. Pour a little of this on the stain and let it set for about a second or two and then blot with a damp sponge. This can take that stain away from your couch's fabric cover.
If you are also worried about those scuffs on the floor, try rubbing them off with a pencil eraser. Isn't wonderful if you do not have to buy all those expensive chemical just to get rid of those unsightly thingy?
And when it comes to wooden furniture with water marks, ordinary household items can clean that for you. Using a damp cloth, apply toothpaste and baking soda into the spot and rub it off easily. If you just want to clean wooden furniture, you can try this concoction: two tablespoons of vegetable oil, four tablespoons of white vinegar, and 1 quart warm water. Apply the mixture to the wooden surfaces and clean off with a separate, clean, and dry cloth.
That's it for now guys. Have a good one.
